Read a chapter
The reader shows a chapter as it stands in your folder today, formatted and easy to read, with your bible alongside each scene.
Open the reader
- On a scene's page in Chapters, click Read this scene.
- Click a scene in your search results to open the reader at that passage.
- In History, click Read it now or Read chapter.
Move around
- The scenes in the chapter are listed on the left. Click one to jump to it.
- Click ‹ Previous or Next › to go to the chapter before or after.
- Click History to see every pass recorded on this chapter.
- Click the link above the chapter title to go back to the chapter's page.
What you see beside each scene
Under each scene's title, Colophon shows the characters, threads and timeline entries linked to it. Click one to go to its page.
At the end of each scene you'll find:
- the continuity items still open in that scene
- File an item about this scene, to note something you've spotted while reading
- Add someone to this scene…, to link a character, location, thread or timeline entry
- What changed here, to see the scene's history
Reading and copying
The reader is read-only — make your edits in your writing app. You can select text in the reader and copy it with ⌘C, or press ⌘A to select the prose.
