The free trial and unlocking Colophon
Colophon is free to download. Start the free trial to use everything for 30 days. After that, unlock Colophon once to keep using everything. There is no subscription.
Start the free trial
- Choose Colophon ▸ Unlock Colophon…. The first time you open Colophon, this appears by itself.
- Click Start Free Trial, and confirm in the App Store sheet. The trial is free.
The trial lasts 30 days from the day you start it. The foot of the sidebar shows how many days are left.
When Colophon is read-only
Before you start the trial, and after it ends until you unlock Colophon, Colophon is read-only.
You can still:
- open your documents
- read your manuscript and your bible
- browse and search your whole revision history
You can't:
- take new baselines
- record revisions
- add or change bible and continuity items
Nothing you made is removed. Unlocking Colophon lets you carry on where you left off.
Unlock Colophon
- Choose Colophon ▸ Unlock Colophon…, or click the line at the foot of the sidebar.
- Click the unlock button, which shows the price, and confirm in the App Store sheet.
You pay once. Colophon stays unlocked on this Mac.
Use Colophon on another Mac
Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account, open Colophon and choose Colophon ▸ Restore Purchases. Colophon unlocks without charging you again.
